During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. 祖国科学发达。改革开放后，我们中国人自己建设了一条世界上难度最大的铁路-青藏铁路，修建它可不容易，必须通过多年冻土、生态脆弱、高原缺氧这三大难关。中国人却成功地解决了这三大难题，创造了奇迹。青藏铁路展现了中华民族很强的创造精神和创新能力，肯定了中华人民的聪明才干和坚强的精神。

我今天要演讲的题目是《祖国在我心中》。
当你们看到五星红旗高高升起的时候，听到我们中国人民曾经被帝国主义者欺压的时候，你的心中会涌起一股爱国之情吗?我想会的，脑海中还会浮现出中华民族曾经受过的屈辱。
1840年，因为林则徐前往广州开展禁烟运动，打击了英国走私贩的嚣张气焰，影响到了英国的利益。为了打开中国市场大门，英国借口虎门销烟发动了侵略战争。虽然中国军民顽强抵抗，但腐朽的封建制度抵抗不住英国的侵略。清朝政府就签订了中国历史上第一个不平等条约——《南京条约》。此后在1842年~1920xx年间相继与英国、日本、俄国、法国、德国、美国等国家签订了709个不平等条约。更不忘，我们中国人民为了祖国的强盛，而努力奋斗的结果。
1949年10月1日那一天，亿万中国人民都清楚地记得，举世瞩目的新中国成立了，中国耻辱的历史永远结束了，再也没有侵略者炮火的硝烟了。
