中午,妈妈从街上买了几串葡萄带回家给我吃。

At noon, my mother bought some grapes from the street and brought them home for me to eat.

我看见了一串串晶莹透亮的葡萄,馋的直流口水,恨不得马上吃上嘴。妈妈用水把葡萄洗干净,放进碗里端上来给我吃。

I saw a string of crystal clear grapes, greedy DC saliva, wish to eat mouth immediately. Mother washed the grapes with water and put them in a bowl for me to eat.

我看见了,突然发现葡萄上的水珠像一串串嫩绿透明的珍珠,在阳光下闪闪发光。我拿起一个葡萄,它的外皮是紫红色的。还有一点青绿色,像玛瑙,似翡翠。

When I saw it, I suddenly found that the water on the grape was like a string of green and transparent pearls, shining in the sun. I picked up a grape with a purple skin. There is also a little green, like agate, like emerald.

我把外皮剥去,放入嘴中嚼嚼,酸溜溜、甜津津的。,感到清爽无比。葡萄营养丰富,它还含有许多维生素,一定要多吃葡萄,这样对你的身体有好处哦!我爱吃葡萄。

I peel off the skin and chew it in my mouth. It's sour, sweet and refreshing. Grape nutrition is rich, it also contains many vitamins, must eat more grapes, this is good for your health! I love grapes.

优秀英语演讲稿 篇2

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen:

I'd like to start with a group of pictures.

“Modern and advanced”? This society forgets, and ignores the other two thirds of human beings. It's far from the ideal! We call ideal as a utopian, a place where reality does not exist. A few people still look forward to the ideals. We make fun of them, considering they are naive. Will we still be content to live in such a society, if misfortune drops to us? No! Of cause not!

When we feel the warmth of the sun, these people, endure great sorrows and pains. Can we imagine that? They are our brother and sisters!

Facing them, will we still complain about our own misfortune?

Facing them, will we still have the mood shouting for our own freedom? Facing them, will we still want to have more and more unnecessary stuff?

They are unable to meet their needs, even the basic needs of survival! Everyone, as a member of humanity, shouldn't feel ashamed? Our luxury deprived their lives, our indifference violated our soul, and our barbarity destroyed human civilization!

What's the ideal society? It's a society no one worries about their living, a society no one is refused from education, a society everyone can pursue his/her own happiness! The ideal society is filled with love, joy and kindness. In that society, we can touch the other's hearts, we can share our dreams and most important, we can just be the true men!

Let's break the ethnic divide, bridge the gap between rich and poor, hand in hand, to build a Great wall, protecting us from evil; to construct a steady bridge, connecting reality to the ideal society! Let's pursue for that, that's the only way to the bright future! They are watching us! Thank you!

love your mother

why are you crying, a young boy asked his mom?

"because i'm a woman," she told him.

"i don't understand," he said.

his mom just hugged him and said,

"and you never will, but that's o.k.".......

later the little boy asked his father,

"why does mom seem to cry for no reason?".

"all women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say......

the little boy grew up and became a man,

still wondering why women cry.

finally he put in a call to god and when god got back to him, he asked "god, why do women cry so easily?"

god answered......

"when i made woman,

i decided she had to be special.

i made her shoulders

strong enough to carry

the weight of the world, yet,

made her arms gentle enough to give comfort...

i gave her the inner strength

to endure childbirth

and the rejection

that many times will come

even from her own children.

i gave her a hardness

that allows her

to keep going and take care

of her family and friends,

even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without

complaining....

i gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances. even when her child has hurt her badly....

she has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....

i gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults

and i fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....

i gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly....

There is actually a pie in the sky。 It was made especially for you。 It isyour favorite flavor。 You can eat as much of it as you want。 It is all yours andyou don’t have to share it with anyone。

Now,all you have todo to get your pie is build a set of stairs, climb up your stairs, and reach outyour hand to take it。

First, you must figure out what the design of your stairs will be。 If youdon’t know, find a person who has managed to build a set of stairs to reach hispie, and find out what needs to be done。

Next, you will need to prepare for your stairs。 You need to buy the woodand the tools。 You might need to replace some broken tools。

Finally, and this is the hardest step, you need to focus your mind on yourwork。 The actual work requires constructing the stairs。 You may find that you’veworked really hard for days, weeks or even months, and then suddenly find thatyour stairs are not going to line up with your pie。 So you need to make surethat you still have money to buy new materials and rebuild your stairs in theright direction。

英语演讲稿 篇6

Many people yearn to be more self-confident. Yet they have no idea how to achieve that objective. They look at others who have the gift and say, “Hey that’s what I want. I hate feeling unsure of myself. I wish I could stop obsessing about what others think of me and quit worrying about disappointing other people. I want to stop anguishing over my decisions and torturing myself about my mistakes. I think it would be so great to feel self-assured, hold my head up high and stand tall. I’ve never been self-confident. I wish there were a way I could be.”

There is a way. You don’t have to be born with self-confidence. Self-confidence can grow and flourish and ripen and blossom until you actually come to feel as though there is a different person inside of you. Here are some insights that might facilitate the quest.

Learn what a self-confident person is really like. They are not cocky, know-it-all people who don’t care what anybody else thinks. They have their doubts. And make mistakes. And are far from perfect. However, they are willing to acknowledge their inadequacies without dwelling on them. They do this by maintaining a sense of humor, putting problems in perspective, and focusing mainly on what they’ve done right, not wrong.

Though self-confident people do believe in themselves, they don’t try to suffocate others with their ideas or beliefs. They are confident in what they know not only because they read, learn and think but also because they respect their instinct, intuition and the unique body of knowledge that they’ve developed by living life. They realize that one doesn't have to be labeled an “expert” to believe in one's own truths.

Self-confident people don’t undermine their own worth by comparing themselves with others, only to conclude that they aren’t “good enough”。 They appreciate their strengths and accomplishments and can acknowledge, without embarrassment, their weaknesses. They don’t live in the “victim” position. Even if something really bad has occurred, they turn it into a challenge, remembering to be grateful for the little things in life.

英语演讲稿 篇8

you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value set. it means being able to own your home; raise your children in a safe neighborhood; send them to a good school where if they do well they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd be able to find a way to be able to send them to college. and in the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your children will not have to take care of you.

that's the american dream. that's what this country was built on. and that's what we'redetermined8 to restore.

in order to do that, it's time to have a fair tax structure, one that values paychecks as much as unearned income and inherited wealth, to take some of the burden off of the middle class. it's time to close tax loopholes so we can reduce the deficit9, and invest in rebuilding america - our bridges, our ports, our highways, rails, providing good jobs.

with corporate10 profits at near record highs, we should encourage corporations to invest more in research and development and the salaries of their employees. it's time for us to invest in educational opportunity to guarantee that we have the most highly skilledworkforce11 in the world, for 6 out of every 10 jobs in the near term is going to require some education beyond high school. folks, it's long past due to increase the minimum wage that will lift millions of hardworking families out of poverty target poverty and in the process produce a ripple12 effect that boosts wages for the middle class and spurs economic growth for the united states of america. economists13 acknowledge that if we do these and other things, wages will go up and we'll increase the gross domestic product of the united states.

my fellow americans, we know how to do this. we've done it before. it's the way we used to do business and we can do it that way again. all the middle class in this country want is a chance. no guarantee, just a chance.

americans want to work. and when given a fair shot, the american worker has never, ever, ever, let his country down. folks, it's never a good bet to bet against the american people.

thanks for listening.

经典英语演讲稿 篇10

Hello, everybody! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, everybody. All right, everybody go ahead and have a seat. How is everybody doing today? (Applause.) How about Tim Spicer? (Applause.) I am here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we’ve got students tuning in from all across America, from kindergarten through 12th grade. And I am just so glad that all could join us today. And I want to thank Wakefield for being such an outstanding host. Give yourselves a big round of applause. (Applause.)I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the , as you might imagine, I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she’d say, “This is no picomic for me either, buster.” (Laughter.)So I know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I’m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I’m here because I want to talk with you about your education and what’s expected of all of you in this new school year. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.
