Our planet is in trouble!Almost every day we seem to hear of yet another problem affecting the environment - and what a list of problems!- pollution,acid rain,global warming,the destruction of rainforests and other wild habitats,the decline and extinction of thousands of species of animals and plants.and so on.

Nowadays,most of us know that these threats exist and that humans have caused them.Many of us are very worried about the future of our planet and unless we can find a way of solving the problems we have made then the environment will suffer even more.

It all sounds so depressing - but we certainly mustn't despair!Every one of us,whatever age we are,can do something to help slow down and reverse some of the damage.We cannot leave the problem-solving entirely to the experts - we all have a responsibility for our environment.We must learn to live in a sustainable way i.e.learn to use our natural resources which include air,freshwater,forests,wildlife,farmland and seas without damaging them.As populations expand and lifestyles change,we must keep the World in good condition so that future generations will have the same natural resources that we have.

Here are just a few ideas to help you to do something to protect our environment.

.plant more trees;

.use as much public transport as you can;

Environmental protection is a big project, but we can start around things, do a lot of things to protect the environment.

Our paper every day, do you know the paper is how to? Is made of trees to make paper. Every year around the world to cut down many trees to make paper. I have seen a special TV, save 1500 sheets of paper, you can leave a big tree. The tree is our good fri, it can turn carbon dioxide into oxygen, can reduce the noise, can block the sand, can prevent water loss and soil erosion... Starts me, saving every piece of paper, children all over the world can save a lot of a lot of paper, you can retain a lot of trees, you can leave a big forest, desert, less and less, more and more pure and fresh air, green more and more. How I wish my hometown mountain more green, and blue, the water environment of our lives forever charactizing a fine spring day.

We used in battery life; it contains lead, if throw it carelessly, section 1 waste batteries can lose one square metre of soil utilization value forever. In many countries, many areas have carried out recycling of waste batteries. In Germany, to buy a new battery, used batteries must be pay back. So, we should to find a "home" for waste batteries. Here, Id like to share my own experience abroad with you. Several years ago, I was very lucky to he an opportunity to live in the Australia about half a month. During that time, Not only did I enjoy the beautiful natural scenery there, but also I appreciated the peoples active way of protecting their environment. Now, whenever the environment protection is mentioned, the beautiful scenery of Australia will arise in my mind, white clouds flying across the blue sky, green grassplot sprinkled with colorful flowers and lovely squirrels playing happily among the trees.

As a citizen of China, if everyone can actively protect the environment in our daily life and if we would like to reduce our carbon footprint, the scenery of blue sky, green grass and lovely animals in Australia will appear in China, even in HeFei.

But I totally support the view, that is to say, Emotion without action is irrelevant! Do you unplug electronics after you use them? Do you switch off everything before you go to sleep? Do you adjust your TV screen a bit dimmer to se energy? Do you re-use water for different activities around the house? Each of these seemingly insignificant adjustments in your daily life can make a difference in sing the environment of tomorrow.

we all know tagore.this famous indian poet once said, “life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it.” as the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. however, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. in fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures are amazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? if possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

on a saturday morning. i went to have breakfast. i felt there was a terrible smell and went over to have a look carefully. i found that there was a big pile of banana skins giving out the smell.just then a young fellow holding a dustpan rubbish to walk towards here . he raised his hands, the big pile of rubbish was here. at once i went to him and said “uncle , you can’t do like this . these things will rot very soon. it’s bad for our health and make the people fall ill.” however ,the man said “everyone does so ,who falls ill,who will see the doctor.”

looking at this , i remembered another act : there is a stream through our village. over it there are two bridges .at the age of seven years old , i enjoyed the beautiful scenery under the bridge very much. it was the best place to swim in summer. but now the rubbish was getting more and more .dish leaves,fruit skins,dead ducks and chickens….

after rotting ,not only the mosquitos flew around but also the bad smell made everyone feel quite terrible.though the stream was cleaned up several times, it’s still happening now. a lot of plastic bags always float on it .in summmer we have to go far away from the village to swim.

what causes this? who is the devil?it’s the human ourselves. i have got to known from a book .the rubbish in the countryside mostly occupies the fields and damages the earth’s surface .it pollutes soil,wave ,atmosphere and damages our health. the adults often say “the body is capital.” but why are they able to make woollen cloth like this ? does it affect everybody’s safe and sound life ?

schoolmates, we are the host of society tomorrow . it’s our duty to improve and build the safe invironment.

safety is in our hands .we must take park in more environmental protection activities, plant more trees and flowers to make us live in a beautiful home with the blue sky ,blue water and green land forever.

it is true that the idea of man can conquer nature has dominated peoples mind for years, and it is true, man has kept acting like a master and doing whatever things he wants for thousands of years. however, as the consequence of this kind of leadership , now the master seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. facts are really very ample. the green house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of el nino and la nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? we are not the masters of nature. facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her. by saying so, i do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development. because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society. i mean we should treat nature

All kind of transports may run into each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.

As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. As individuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reduce carbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out the related law on pollution.

In summary, we're all looking forward to breathe fresher air and live a happier life. Everyone should be a part of this job.
