敬爱的老师，亲爱的同学们：
大家早上好!今天我演讲的题目是《关注交通安全，珍惜生命》。
这几年，全世界人民都饱受了灾难带来的痛苦。那些撕心裂肺的哭喊，无不见证着一个事实——活着，是多么幸福啊!在这些突发的灾难面前，人们开始再一次审视生命的意义和价值。平安，不仅是幸福，更是责任。对自己的生命负责，就是对自己的家人负责，对爱自己、关心自己的人负责。当居高不下的交通事故，成为生命的一大杀手时，我要在这里说：珍惜生命，关注交通安全。
人们都说，交通事故猛于虎。可是老虎再凶，也只能一口吃掉一个人，而交通事故则会一口吞噬几个甚至几十个人的生命。据媒体统计指出，中国汽车数量占全世界的1.9%，但汽车交通死亡事故占全球的15%，一年因交通事故而死去的人数就多达十万人!
作为中学生，我们往往以行人的角色出现在马路上，所以我们更要明白行人应遵守的交通规则。“红灯停，绿灯行，黄灯停一停”、“过马路要走人行横道”、“不要随意穿越马路”等，这些想必大家已听过无数次了，可是能做到严格遵守的，又有几人呢?正是这些或侥幸或疏忽的心理使无数个鲜活的生命消逝在了车轮之下。如果你缺少应有的警惕，如果你忽视起码的安全常识，那么危险一旦降临，你将会后悔莫及。本可逃离的厄运，却总在意料之外，客观之中发生了，事后万分的后悔，都抵不过事前一分的清醒。
同学们，我们每个人必须把平安的种子播种在自己的心田，当它发芽、开花、长成参天大树，我们必将收获祥和、幸福、安宁的果实。

common sense would be revolted if we engaged upon this process for petty reasons. congress has a lot to do: appropriations, tax reform, health insurance, campaign finance reform, housing, environmental protection, energy sufficiency, mass transportation. pettiness cannot be allowed to stand in the face of such overwhelming problems. so today we are not being petty. we are trying to be big, because the task we have before us is a big one.
this morning, in a discussion of the evidence, we were told that the evidence which purports to support the allegations of misuse of the cia by the president is thin. we're told that that evidence is insufficient. what that recital of the evidence this morning did not include is what the president did know on june the 23rd, 1972.
the president did know that it was republican money, that it was money from the committee for the re-election of the president, which was found in the possession of one of the burglars arrested on june the 17th. what the president did know on the 23rd of june was the prior activities of e. howard hunt, which included his participation in the break-in of daniel ellsberg's psychiatrist, which included howard hunt's participation in the dita beard itt affair, which included howard hunt's fabrication of cables designed to discredit the kennedy administration.

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们：
大家好!
我是来自七(12)班的康雯祺，今天，我为大家带来的故事的题目叫做《起早》。
我上床的时候是晚上11点，窗户外面下着小雪。我缩到被子里面，拿起闹钟，发现闹钟停了，我忘买电池了。天这么冷，我不愿意再起来。我就给妈妈打了个长途电话：“妈，我闹钟没电池了，明天还要去总公司开会，要赶早，你六点的时候给我个电话叫我起床吧。"
妈妈在那头的声音有点哑，可能已经睡了，她说：“好，女儿，你放心睡吧。”
电话响的时候我在做一个美梦，外面的天黑黑的。妈妈在那边说："你快起床，今天要开会的。"我抬手看表，才五点四十。我不耐烦地叫起来，"我不是叫你六点吗?我还想多睡一会儿呢，被你搅了!"妈妈在那头突然不说话了，我挂了电话。
起来梳洗好，出门。真冷啊，漫天的雪，天地间茫茫一片。公车站台上我不停地跺着脚。周围黑漆漆的，我旁边却站着两个白发苍苍的老人。我听着老先生对老太太说："你看你一晚都没有睡好，早几个小时就开始催我了，现在等这么久。"
是啊，第一趟班车还要五分钟才来呢。终于车来了，我上车。开车的'是一位很年轻的小伙子，他等我上车之后就轰轰地把车开走了。我说："喂，司机，下面还有两位老人呢，你怎么不等他们上车就开车?"
那个小伙子很神气地说："没关系的，那是我爸爸妈妈!今天是我第一天开公交，他们来看我的!"
我突然就哭了。随后看到爸爸发来的短消息："女儿，妈妈说，是她不好，她一直没有睡好，很早就醒了，担心你会迟到。"
忽然想起一句犹太人谚语： 父亲给儿子东西的时候，儿子笑了。 儿子给父亲东西的时候，父亲哭了。
